OK, let me humor you and accept that my assessment is all bombast, devoid of substance.
So go ahead and explain why India cannot respond to its many conflicts with creative and peaceful means? What has prevented it from letting the NE's alienation turn into insurgencies--First the Nagas, then Mizos, then the Assames3e, then Bodos, then Karbis, now Manipur -- ad infinitum. How did the Khalistan movement happen? What is happening in Kashmir? Why is the Naxalite movement continuing to spread? What has India done to stem the bloodshed in Telengana? And what about less violent arenas: like the economy? Like the administrative system? What about justice and law ? What about the election system? How about taxation or the widespread avoidance of it? What about the pervasive corruption in every sphere of government? Go ahead and explain why India cannot deal with any of it? Why it cannot reform its institutions? Amend its constitution? At 3:58 PM -0700 10/20/05, Rajib Das wrote: > > democracy. But India is too fractured.
