Students (from Asam, Bihar, Nepal etc) go to Dehradoon or Rajasthan schools and colleges (esp. girls) to study since they have safety of life and limb and above average education .Umesh

Forget about the 66% oil refined outside assam, increasing unemployment in the state.Similarly, lot of examples are there, where we can find only step-motherly treatment.Now coming to our own system:1) Do anybody remember about seeing an Assam Public Service Commission's Results anywhere in a newspaper, forget about the recruitment process and number of vacancies???2) Is ther any correct figure of assamese student coming every year to Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and completing their education and joining/making good career? If so, what percentage of them??? Have our news papers shown any interest in bringing out the fact about performance of assamese/north eastern student? Young gals and boys coming from the state and giving up their studies is very frequent scene here. Forget about 'living-together' and other things...How many of our parents dare to ask their children about their score card and results???3) What about our friends in Parliment??? we have 14 MPs from assam alone. Hardly one can heard of saying them anything all together for assam.Ther are lot more.. but i just try to say that this is a two way destroying process.thanks,c. changmainew delhi
