Go right ahead and ADD what you need to. I did not respond to let you guys off the hook. Don't worry, we will still remain friends, if you would let me that is. See Rajen, I have all kinds of people for friends.

But if you are seeking a way to avoid answering Santanu's question, my
taunting note is NOT a good one to use as a crutch or something to hide behind. It would be "aag fale' duar daang, pas faale' dhwbaang-baang" -- giving you a false sense of security. It will be like one of those hospital gowns--with the rear end all bare :-).

Not nice Santanu!

Shouldn't ask nasty questions  of Friends ! You could end up being an Enemy you know?

Yeah, it was the Lungi Menace alright! And them invaders who ruled India for 600 years when India survive by taking refuge in Assam,  like hybernatig bears
holding themselves in suspended animation.

Oh, I almost forgot: Nehru and his dynasty too!

Now see if you can put two and two together :-).

So, just out of curiosity and since many people seem to be more or less agreed on this, in what exact sense is Assamese civilization supposed to be facing an imminent collapse? What is this "political collapse" we are talking about - the one that the ordinary people of Assam are in denial about though filled with "terrible anxiety"?
The only explicit thing I could make out from the postings was "Bangladeshis!" and some call to emulate the Shiv Sena. Is that all?
Santanu.
