I am sure they all have/had positive feelings - The ones that fought for Mother India. And then the ones that fought (or are "fighting") for mother Assam.
The ones that are left are their children I guess - the next generation. What about those countless, silent ones that just want a break from this "mother whatever" business and get on to productive, gainful lives where they have the opportunity to earn money. The thing impeding them is this unending tale of so many mothers and the instability wrought in their search. I am sure their feelings are as precious as those that fought for mother Assam or mother India.
