I just started making my own Indian "curry" last week onwards -saving on MacDonald's burger costs. My new roommate taught me. Just boil the beans/dal/pulses/lentil/green peas - I mix them all, then separately fry onions & tomatos in Garam Masala, red pepper and Jeera etc. Add it to the boiled stuff, heat fro a while -under cover. I add cabbage too (which I precut and store in the freezer ) for green leaf viatmins. heat a little Add green Dhania (celantro/corriander) leaves. Lo! Indian curry is ready. I never knew it was so simple. Maybe the cutting of the vegetables took most time in India -here it is all pre-cut and frozen. I aleways thought chinese noodles were the most successful intl food. Mexican food is just like Indian food though. any comments? umesh
