Title: Re: [Assam] Army firing in Kakopathar
>Is UK govt sane and democratic?

*** What does that have to do with how Ajit Mahanta was killed by Indian Army?

>Govt is by the people. Govt is what we make of it.

*** That is a bunch of meaningless blather! Ajit Mahanta, or the pople of Kakopthar had NOTHING to do with HOW the Indian army or Indian Govt. or the Assam govt. operates.

>We should protest and keep on protesting against injustice.

*** Under the circumstances it sounds like yet another perfunctory  pronouncement of 'even-handed-ness! Not at all convincing.

>India govt over the years killed 50000 Nagas. Was there a single utterance from the Assamese (sorry Asomese) people?

**** What does THAt have to do with Ajit Mahanta's k8illing and the subsequent blood bath of the Kakopothar  protesters.

WHAT did YOU do about those thousands of Nagas killed? When DID your ASSAMESE voice against it register and on what?

No govt is sane and democratic in true sense. Is USA govt sane and democratic? Is UK govt sane and democratic? As long as we think that any govt is ideal and will do all the right thing for the people in the name of democracy, we fail.
Govt is by the people. Govt is what we make of it.
We should protest and keep on protesting against injustice.
India govt over the years killed 50000 Nagas. Was there a single utterance from the Assamese (sorry Asomese) people?
Think how much they cried.

And what I am saying here is that there is no military solution possible of the Assam problem. Otherwise why is the case that 500,000 Indian army cannot control 5000 ULFA?

If people are shouting pro-ULFA slogans, do not react to that but try to understand why people are doing that. In the last 20 years I have never heard any Assamese daring to shout pro-ULFA slogans openly. The equation is clear if the people are unhappy with one power structure they will opt for the other one available. I just want the stupids in Delhi to understand these emotions of people.
I agree ULFA is undemocratic, extortionist blah blah blah, but Indian govt is sane and democratic, right? In that case how come a democratic system defy people so bad that people opt for an undemocratic, extotionist power like ULFA? Think on those lines.
