| The Assam Institute of Management at Guwahati was now offering courses patterned on the academic modules offered at any Indian Institute of Management (IIM). |
| Apart from the contemporary syllabus, there was constant evaluation, exposure to real life experiences and scope for interacting with industry stalwarts, Shantikam Hazarika, director of the Assam Institute of Management, said in a release. |
| Emphasis was given to develop students' personality, communication skill and positive attitude. |
| Students were exposed to spiritualism and sensitised to socio-economic issues through seminars and through socially-useful works. |
| Students of the school had just completed major consultancy work for the Bodoland Territory Area Districts (BTAD) and was currently doing a consumer products survey in collaboration with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). |
| AICTE awarded a special grant to to school to set up its Industry-Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC). |
| The AICTE Fellowship on neural network analysis of capital market was an ongoing project at the school, said Hazarika. |
| The school was collaborating with the Tripura University in its academic programmes. |
| The government of Assam has announced its intention to upgrade the school to a national level institute, claimed Hazarika. |
| The school was planning to have its own campus and had launched a campaign to get its students to develop 'out-of-the-box' solutions for the development of the North-East region of India. |
| The school recently saw 39 students graduating through its two-year full-time PGDBM course. |
| Hazarika said that of the batch, 29 were placed through the campus placement process. |
| Karishma Patni was awarded the gold medal for topping the batch. |
| Patni shared the gold medal for the best project with Ipshita Sharma. |
| Besides, 10 students graduated in the three-year part-time course, with Saurabh Sharma bagging the gold medal as best student. |
