Mukul-da,

I think there was some move to make literacy and 60% marks in tenth grade as requiremnet for becoming MPs.MLAs.  I am only good at scoring in English and Math --I always got less than 6-% in civics/govt/history subjects.

There will be no dearth of Umesh Sharma types -who will sit for Exam, score80%+, become candites, be voted into being MP/MLA.Today Voters vote for a symbol in total mystery.
There shall be no OBC Reservations.
Only then India can even think of heading towards being counted as a Nation to take note of.

All MP and MLA aspirants  shall be needed to pass a written test . Questions  will be on subjects dealt in this book(From Debate toDiialogue) and similar ones.

Minimum 80% must be  scored  before being registered as candates.

The latest Constitution amendment should  be this.
