I am eager to know what you think about this issue -esp since you are a young man yourself. Do you think men should not teach in school ? Would you like to teach in a school -using your skills in linguistics?
I am directing this at you since you have shown so much enthusiam and interest in my posts and I feel this post is esp relevant in judging or changing people's attitudes (in India esp) about education and literacy. As you might recall from my many posts that India is one of the most backward countries in terms of educated populace -and unlikely to achieve the UN goal of Universal Primary Education (UPE) by 2015 - ratified by all members nations .
Do you think UPE is an important goal?
