Not necessarily so  Manoj :-).

There is a reason.

Many people I know have been complaining that they were enrolled in esom :-) on line without their consent.  I was too. The reason is that the owner of the group likes to brag about its membership strength, never mind what it generates as discussion. That is why I asked one new member the other day if it is a pretty vibrant group, and that I thought it was about as lively as a morgue.

What is my gripe? It is two-folds:

        A: It is controlled by a control-freak.

B: The Owner/sokidaar also is a sociopath  who routinely attacks
individuals personally and posts lies and slanders
against his own community members, with the pretext of being the
self-appointed custodian of Mohapuruxia values and
Xonkordev/Madhovdev's legacy on the internet, if not in the
        entire universe.

Some have attempted to un-subscribe from the group WITHOUT success. I know of at least one instance, where the individual had to report the group to Yahoo, before he got un-subscribed. But I hear he got re-subscribed, without his consent, a few months later.

I have not attempted to un-subscribe, even though my posts to the group, if I do post something, do not get posted. In my case it is only one way traffic. I am given messages, but mine are not allowed to go to the rest.

I have stayed on, because I like to see what is going on. And occasionally, as you have seen, I do have a thing or two to say about them :-).

Replace the GroupName with the name of the group that you wish to unsubscribe from! Yahoo will then send you a mail mail asking you to CONFIRM your unsubscribe request. REPLY to that mail (Hit the REPLY button - SEND the mail  as it is)

Thats it. You are off the list.
Cheers!
