It seems only God is taking care of this billion strong country of ours -like John Kenneth Galbraith is supposed to have said as US ambassador in 60s during Kennedy era. How else can one explain that the current year when Jaipur was supposed to run out of groundwater and no water thru canal till 2008 (as per the rpediction in 2004 whenn I left for US) --there are floods --even in Barmer (Sand-dune Land) . And thanks to rainwater harvesting techniques utilized by people -as led by Ravinder Singh (?) Magsayasay Award winner -- the ground watre seems to be getting replenished this year --atleast in these areas. Any comments? Umesh
