Dear BK:

*** I would like to throw in a word in Rajen's defense:
The "denigration" that you refer to is not a
denigration at all, but a characterization employed to explain the
uncritical acceptance of the diktats of authority and authority
figures and acquiescence to trampling of democratic principles.
As such, to devalue and discard Rajen's very well deliberated
presentation as denigration of 'community leaders' is tantamount to
rejecting the substance
on grounds of hurt feelings. Not something you or I could pass
off as an 'objective' assessment.
Best regards.

I try to discuss a subject dispassionately, not that I always succeed. In other words, it is what you term as objective. Without having the benefit of full information, I cannot jump to certain conclusions. Rajen has treated the matter in a scholarly way, that is good. But then we do not have to accept his denigration of his community and its leaders right and left.
Best wishes
