I take the privilege of informing you that the North East Media Forum (NEMF),
the platform for journalists from NE India working in the national capital, in
collaboration with the North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd
(NEDFI), is organizing a daylong conference on "Look East Policy: A Reality
Check" vis-à-vis North-East India, at the Chinmaya Mission Auditorium, Lodi
Road, New Delhi, on January 31, 2007.
The NEMF will be honoured if you kindly take some time off to attend the
conference that will start at 9 am and continue till afternoon, focusing on
various subjects related to the main theme through four separate sessions.
Union Ministers Jairam Ramesh and Santosh Mohan Dev, and a large number of
policy makers, politicians, bureaucrats and media persons will be among the
participants at the conference that will have four sessions on "Trade &
Regulatory Issues", "Infrastructure, Human Resources & Tourism", "Art &
Culture" and "Security Issues".
