India, in turn, has expressed interst in deregulating Japanese customs
inspections, cutting tariffs on shrimp imports and loosening visa rules for
Indian medical care workers and engineers.
Japan has tight restrictions on immigration but has agreed to let in small
numbers of nurses from the Philippines and Indonesia as part of free-trade
deals. Japan has one of the world's most rapidly graying populations and so has
been ready to allow in healthcare workers.

Also Canada, New Zealand, Australia are good destinations for those whom US
visa issue are troubling. In Canada u don't even need to have a job to get
Green Card -just skills. My Bulgarian roommate is also a Canadian citizen and
now thru Green Card lottery into US. He does say that US economy is in better
shape but after getting Canadian citizenship (in just 3 years after reaching
there -- on Green Card) you can work in US on TN work visa (NO visa quotas for
Canadians). I might try the route later -after doing a PhD in US.
a 2002 high school graduate of Jaipur School who went to New Zealand to to
Hotel Management/Tourism degree is already slated to become citizen in 2008.
