I have another senior from Africa- from whom I am learning still (Math and
sciene mostly). He too came to US from Africa (Mali) after high school - but on
sports scholarship -and ended up doing two bachelors degrees at same time -one
at American Univ -advanced math and another at www.umd.edu 20 miles away - in
mech. engg. He kept on playing college baskeball as well -and got Green Card
from AU sponsorship - as their coach.

He tutored math and science to the sportsmen there -trying to get into their
heads that statistics are against them -in their getting into professional
league. He got a Full Bright scholarship to do engg and is doing MEngg from
UMD (part time while working full time at www.potomactutors.com for past 3
years) - 30 miles away. He is a Grade A scholar though still plays Mali
national team.
