I was not talking about MY personal problems. Sorry you missed that.
But the Indian bureaucracy that you all decry to no end, but jump at
those who propose ways to get rid of it, is ALL about posing
OBSTACLES. Its entire premise is that the people could not be
trusted, and thus must be fought like the enemy out to destroy that
Indian Way of Life, with all the power of the bureaucracy , armed to
the teeth by the litany of laws and rules and regulations.
But when someone commits the transgressions, violates the laws, they
are thoroughly incompetent to do anything about them. And those with
the resources and the connections can just go, pay the dokkhina, and
bingo--the OBSTACLES vanish like a bad dream.
Do you remember seeing the following recently :-)?
"Please note, I am talking about the governement that makes these
primitive rules that are depriving these children from getting the
best care, love and educational opportunities in life, and not the
orphanage here."
How many more examples would you need to see before you can feel
comfortable that the charge I make is not something that I
deliberately made up r to devalue and demonize 'bharat-mata' :-).

PS: I have personal experiences too. But I won't cite them because it
is not about me.

O' wait a minute. What obstacles did India pose for you, C'da? Made
you sign a bond saying that you couldn't leave without working for
them for a few rupees for 5 or 10 years? If they did not do all or
any of these, we would have hought you were a 'khaai paat fola'. :)
