On women's day!

Though her parents paid for her $50,000 expenses at Harvard and her
grandmother stays in Boston - still she has done wonders and made sacrifices in
doing what she is . She is an IIM-A graduate and I think studied at Lady Shri
Ram college (best women's college in India).

She is my senior though graduated with me. She was the one who guided me even
when I was in India - how to come here and what types of clothes to bring - for
the cold . I did not buy any new ones at all, though. She is a top gun at
UNESCO. She tried to get me into UNESCO - upon advice of Prof Reimers - the
program director - but it was not to be.Anyway I do not think I would like to
learn French anytime soon.
Her parents too are well connected - there was some problem with her sister's
and neices' visas from Pakistan and her father was ready to tackle the finance
minister - thankfully American Express got the visas thru in time.
She is still unmarried - married to her mission.

I think I was the only graduating student at Harvard GSE in June 2005 who had
noone from 'anywhere else' to visit. Maybe next time.

Everyday is women's day. When is the men's day?
