So where were all the Lawyers, Vakils, Advocates,"Eminent Jurists " of Oxom
hatching all these 27 +years.
They could/should have filed endless litigation to get Assam its rightful
Sovereignty some 26 years back!
Even Now they can-they should-unitedly.
Through ( as you say) the Eminently Adaptable India Constitution written by
somebody(not the Assamese,not any group of Assam's people) in 1950 - and-not in
Assam.
Well ,Hurry up you legals!!

The role of interpretation in vital matters such as independence of judiciary,
State-Union relationship, etc is a fundamental one and the Court can recommend
that certain amendment to the Constitution is warranted. Besides there is
something known as judge-made laws which mainly relates to 'precedents' .
The Indian Constitution provides an elaborate framework for amendment to the
various parts of the Constitution in which the legislatures of the entire
country may be involved.
