Hi,
I saw this movie The NameSake after reading first few chapters of its
namesake book on which it is based.

I saw it after recommendation by my ex-roommate NRI second generation who
liked this serious movie. Perhasp it was the first serious movie he liked -so I
saw it too. A good info about some NRI professors and their kids . How about of
that of waiters in India restaurants here and their kids?
Any comments on the book and the movie.
Umesh
PS: Ofcourse, now the Indian students are cell phone users but some may not
use laundry machines even after a year into US - like me. I used one (even if
it was free ) only after I had to pay $200 to a plumber who used a snake to
pull out the handkerchief from the pipe down the bathtub - I was washing my
colthes as usual . In the movie the heroine in 70s is expert on the first day -
without any assistance. Maybe Bengalis are more intelligent in these matters
than me.
