GPC congratulates member-journalists

GUWAHATI, July 6: Guwahati Press Club (GPC) has congratulated three of its 
members for being selected for the Defence Correspondent's Course (DCC) 2007, 
organized by the Union Defence Ministry (Govt. of India). The three journalists 
namely Sourav Sharma of Hindustan Samachar, Luit Neil Don of The Sentinel and 
Sanjay Kumar Ray of The Assam Tribune  will attend the month long course 
commencing from July 15.

The Ministry has selected 35 journalists from all over the country for the 
course. Starting from Mumbai, the journalists would attend courses of Navy, Air 
Force and Army in different locations of Ahmedabad and Jamnagar with an 
extended tour to Srinagar and Jammu. It is learnt that the journalists would 
also attend the Nation's Independence Day celebration in Srinagar with Defence 
personnel, stated in press release from GPC office.
