It is interesting that when I mention Rama or Krishna as a revered Hindu
firgure on Wikipedia some or other other 'editor' cmes along and snips it - and
rewrites it as 'an Indian folklore hero"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rama
see its history page link on top to see these counter edits

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krishna see reference to his birthdate - I put it
on top (after seeing wiki page for Jesus) makes it seem more real and not just
a deity.

I wonder what is the reason.

WHy don;t they write Abraham or Moses as a folklore hero who lived to age of
thousand years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abraham
