Dear Umesh

If you learn the Assamese script you will kill two birds with one stone as the
Assamese and the Bengali scripts are virtually similar. But you must have a
valid reason to learn a new language. Ou time is valuable and there is a saying
in Sanskrit that one should acquire knowledge only of those subjects which help
acquire wealth. The problem with learning a new language is that after learning
it you might forget it unless you have use for them.

Best wishes

Bhuban
