How about the Christian schools and Sikh schools in India ? I think majority
Indians like to send their daughters for the "convent education" -- good for
the arranged marriage market :-)

On the contrary , if read till the end ov the article these schools are based
on 400 Islamic Schools running in US - there was one just 400 yards from my
previous home in College Park, MD, USA. There are thousand of Christian and
hundreds of Jewish schools and even Sikh schools in USA or UK - which unlike
the new Indian Islamic schools (mentioned in the article) do not allow teachers
professing other religious faiths
I don't think there is a single Hindu school in USA or UK etc let alone
India.
I am not saying strictly religious schools are good or bad - but why lament
when you none yourself -- just like lament about the rich neighbor's luxuries
when you are so poor !!!
