Hi Mayur
I am not from S'pore(living in Aus) but stayed there for about 4-5
days last year during Cmas.
Shopping malls are everywhere. Orchard Rd in S'pore is a popular area
for brand outlets.
We really liked the Night Safari( it a tour of the S'pore zoo at
night). Sentosa island is a well advertised tourist location, but
it's often very crowded. It's takes a while to go there by the cable
cars(long queues). Direct Bus service to the island may be a better
option. The dolphin show and a laser show in the evening at Sentosa
was good.
The Botanical park is also worth a visit - nice orchids there. A
cruise along the river is nice.
And of course, when in Singapore no Indian will probably come back
without visiting "Little India". It's a better version of Guwahati's
Fancy bazar. Lots of jewellery shops, Indian stores selling the
latest B'wood movies. Mustfa shopping centre in Little India is worth
a visit. You find everything under one roof. It's open 24 hrs and is
not expensive.
Taking a tour bus is a good way to get to know the place. After you
get used to the place, use the metro. They are cheap. You buy a
plastic ticket, put in money for the trip .. at the end of your stay
you are refunded the $1 or $2 charged for the plastic ticket. Also
taxis are relatively cheap. For eg: A drive from Little India to
Orchard Rd(about 0.5hr) cost about $8. A train ride may cost $1.

NB: When in Singapore, don't criticize the Govt. It is not a
democracy there :-). Even the locals can't protest.
