Happy Diwali,
was wondering how come Raam came back home after 14 year exile in the forest
even though his step mother wanted him away --maybe becos there was a time
limit. what if there was no deadline. would Raam have ever one back to his
parent's land?

saw a girl dressed in
indian salawar and kurta at local temple with her mom (??) carrying a small
precious bundle and sat next to me inside the main hall full of people. then
got up leaving some foul smell. later saw her bundle of joy (perhaps the
reason for the foul smell). it was a small brown puppy (or chuahua breed

tilak on its forehead. have seen many dogs and cows entering temples and eating
the offerings lying unattended (which famously put off Swami Dayanand from idol
worship and back to vedas) but this was new western style of Hindu worship -
believing really that all living beings have equal rights. why not some mice
in the temple too - like some Rajasthan temples i have been to.
