Seeing the these Adhivasi demonstrations are turning out to cause violence,
shouldn't the govt ban such demonstrations? Atleast till situation becomes
less volatile. Democracy allows the citizen to raise their voice but not to
attack others while doing so -- so if demonstrations turn violent then stop
them. Mahatma Gandhi stopped his non-volent movement when some of his
demonstartors burned a police station and killed 22 policeman. He had to go to
jail and he accepted the responsibility. The Adhivasi leaders must accept
responsibility for all the violence they instigated and continue to do so.

Where is the army -- I though they have to monitor the peace in Assam. Is it
only against ULFA?
