Friends,
The much expected thing to happen had began in the entire Assam area.My
todays al phone calls from Assam was more disturbing in nature as the
stripping,professional nude photography, hooliganism, live telecast with more
masala against assamese by varieties of dirty politician and opportunist
created the entire things gone worst for the normal life to deadly life of
every Assamese now.The calls say 3-10-8 killed in Tezpur
,Kokrajhar,Majbat,Tinsukia Oil range etc.All tea labourer are badly influenced
with alcohol and on rampange to kill.Of course they are not looking for
Benagalee or Bihari too.All- like flood gate open type...
Now I fear about the future of Assam and if the remaining surviving Assamese
will head for the great END like the encient creatures- whom we can see on
books only!!!
How many of these Beltola baxi was really aware of this to happen??Wish
someone would have been wise enough to think of the remote inhabitants... like
my native place etc...
Problem comes when guwahati only represents Entire Assam.The man who lives or
settles at GHY forgets their origin.This is our selfish community.
Now I would love to quote one incident:-
I was at Air force Dinjan in 1996-98.We used to go to Tinsukia- the
Bihari/Bengalee dominated business hub for marketing etc.Assamese language is
far cry there- although Paresh lives at nearby Jeraigaon.One fine day while
walking near tinsukia Police station, one rickshaw did hit my friends 3 yrs old
son and passed over his both legs.Immediately I stopped and banged him.Same
time the proudly siting passenger ,so called axomiya bandhu shouted at me
"Chaharoloi aji pratham bar achicha neki?Chalibo najana"!!!( First time coming
to city?Dnt know how to walk on the street??)
My answer was only one full slap to his face.All was looking-including the
police SI.I wish he never said later to anyone like that.
But that incident remains in my mind.... about urbanization to forget own
glories.And leaving own families at dark in villages with the dirty evils.
