strange logic - why would any company like to hire a more costly foreign worker
than hire a cheaper local one . There must be something more than meets the
eye. I talked to a few of my IT friend s from India who work in a white
American owned company and found that 70% of their IT guys are on H1B work
visas and paid a lot more than prevailing wage rate. And they sponsor their
green card also.
I wondered why they couldn't find local talent. Anyway most (about 50% or more)
of engg and medical seats in US (or Canadian) colleges are taken by Asian/Asian
immigrant students or those from Africa , Latin America etc -- people for whom
Thursday is not the new Friday

when American rice wants to export to Africa and compete with local rice there
-(and cries against subsidies) then human resource export should not be spoken
against - even if it was indeed cheap labor -

any comments
