I don't understand why a name change will unite people. Will a name change make the Dimasas not want a Dimaraji, Bodoland for Bodos or a Karbiland for the Karbis? There is nothing wrong with "Assam". Changing a name does not change people mentality and their attitudes. How many non Tamils call "Madras" as "Chennai" ? JS
