It seems there are plenty of temples and mosques in Nagaland . I had the
impression that there were none. My father had great memories of Dimapur,
Mokochung etc and even commented to some villagers that he was not married he
would have got married there - and thus starting some earnest attempts by
villagers to get him married . He had to stress repeatedly that he had children
(we guys) back home. Anyhow there was one lovely young woman (Asan La) who sent
a black and white photo and a letter in English all the way back near the
Western Indian border where we were based - after he had resigned and gone back
home.

I did talk to one of the security guards at Jaipur School (ex-army) . He
mentioned that the real reason the other security guard had to leave his job in
the North East was becos he had instigated a fellow ex-army guy to leave his
Naga wife and head back home. The Nagas , he said, were after other north
Indians but they had trated their bro-in-law with great respect . But after he
ran away, they even followed with him to the desert with his wife - but he
never went back.
Not much different from the case of Pandit Ravishankar (India's first Grammy
winner) who had a child in the West and ran back and got married again. His
daughter Norah Jones won 5 Grammys in 2003, though angr with her father.
