Hello Assam Netters:

Here is an article that Ankur wrote on the library that we initiated at Parijat
Academy to help the children of that village and other backward areas near it.
Well! any child can go to that library and exchange information with the
scholars there.

The process of having a full-time librarian in the library has started. There
is a whole lot (or even a tiny bit) of other things that you can do to help
these children.

We are doing our best to bring the awareness amongst the people in Assam.

Many are doing wonderful things for the under-privileged in Assam.

It is great to see that the children of the cooks, cleaning ladies in the
households of Assam's upper-middle class society are getting the opportunity to
get an education.

I am sure you want to be a part of this process of getting OUR children the
opportunity to get an education. It could be anything:

Pay the fees for a few children in any school for the whole year.
Donate/buy a bike for a child that can't afford to go by an auto/rickshwa
everyday (keeping safety in mind, that is)
Pay for the uniform of a few students in a school in Assam/India.
Pay for the books and other required materials for a child in any school.
Pay a teacher's salary for the year in a venture school, etc., etc.

I am sure you know many other ways to help them and have been doing that
already. This is just my attempt to reach out to the ones that were not aware
of the things that are happening or are possible to do - to make some one
else's life a bit better.

Thank you.
