Asom Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has said in the State Assembly that since big companies are reluctant to invest in the State because there is no market to sustain them, his government has laid stress on small investments. Moreover, as he said, big investors can doubtless raise the per capita income in the State but that will not benefit the poor people. This is twisted logic — or no logic at all.
