I am sending you this as a follower of Mahapurush Sri Guru Sankaradeva whose
562nd Birth Anniversary we are soon to celebrate at London.

Assam Sahitya Sabha, UK branch (ASSUK) have organised to celebrate 562nd Birth
Anniversary of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankaradeva (1449 - 1568 A.D.) the Vaisnava
saint, social reformer and father of the Assamese nation on Saturday, 9
October, 2010 at Horton Kirby & South Darenth Village Hall, Horton Road,
Dartford, Kent along with a film show -"Srimanta Sankaradeva" directed by
Padmashree Surjya Hazarika.

I am only pointing out this and will disagree with the proposed celebration
being held on 9 October, 2010 which falls before even our Guru was born. I have
it on good authority that 562nd Birth Anniversary of our Sri Guru Srimanta
Sankaradeva this year will fall on Sunday 17 October, 2010.

My suggestion is to the committee member of ASSUK is - we can still go ahead
with the film show of "Srimanta Sankaradeva" but not to celebrate 562nd Birth
Anniversary of our Guru Sankardev on a wrong date which is 9 October, 2010.
Alternatively ASSUK can consider to postpone the whole event till Sunday 17
October, 2010 which will be also on a weekend.

It is my strong belief that any celebration must fall on or after 17 October,
2010.
