He is a young Engineer from a reputed institution, a National Institute of
excellence in India; he has a lucrative, secure job in a corporate house ; he
is working in the very promising area of marketing and business development
with the potential to climb to the top executive position. But deep inside him,
there is an inner calling, a restless mind to break the rule; to fan the flame
inside until it burns brightly, to soar, to reach for something bigger, more
beautiful and fulfilling.
Meet Mr. Surya Pratap Deka , a native of Assam who made a courageous choice
to break free and to embark on a journey ; a mission full of uncertainties and
unknowns. Surya chose this path because he wants to live the dreams of his life
“One day there will be ‘One school for all’ in every neighborhood of India.”.
Leaving the comfort of corporate job, Surya began a new career, to work as a
teacher in a low income municipal school in Pune trying to turn around it into
a leadership school and an institute of excellence.
