Dear Islam,
We have infinite respect for people who have been working tirelessly - people
who put their principles and humanity into action. Your effort for the
rehabilitation for the flood ravaged population of South Salmara or education
for the youths of Karimganj District is unique and exemplary. The task ahead is
not easy though, it is a war against ignorance, intolerance, indifference ;
perhaps , more intense than your battle at the BBC world debate. With
determination you will certainly reach your goal, as Hindi poet Harivansh Rai
Bachhan wrote
डुबकियां सिंधु में गोताखोर लगाता है, (Dupkiyaan sindhu mein gotakhor lagata hai)
The diver dives into the water of the sea, He returns empty handed a number of
times,
Not easy it is to find a pearl in the deep waters, But this in turn doubles his
enthusiasm,
His hands are not empty every time,
The one who tries Never fails
I wish you'd stay put in Assam !

Dear Sri Bora / Borthakur:

Returned from Sri Lanka and landed in Delhi got involved with Anna Hazare
campaign in Delhi - hence got to read the "Friends" only tonight....and I am
overwhelmed with the thought whether I deserve all the good words you have used
for me. Hope I live up to that expectations. Specially, right now, I am torn
between my marching order out of India to Africa or Gulf after almost 6 years
in Asia and a strong desire to live in Assam and doing things 'here". Thank you
very much for your kind appreciations of my past activities. I am sure as I
decide on my move by the end of this year, it will will sure guide me to take
right decisions.

I will be happy to be of any help to your supported initiatives like Parijat
Acd and others while I am in Assam these days.

Lets keep in touch.

Yours,

Baharul
