To All AEC-ians and Friends:
It was a pleasant surprise to meet our beloved Prof. Aparna Padmapati after so
many years. He was our popular professor of Thermodymanics and other Mechanical
Engineering subjects in Assam Engineering College. Later he retired as the
Principal of the college after contributing a lot for the college. He hails
from Tejpur.
Besides being a good teacher, he is a great man with an unassuming and humble
attitude. He studied in USA, and at present he is visiting USA to connect with
old friends. We are lucky that he made a surprised visit to Houston during the
week end where we met him in a party. We talked about our college days, about
Assam Engineering College and everything else. I found him full of life with
lot of humour and intelligence in conversation.
May God keep him healthy.
