Dear Netters;
David Quinn in the article above states:"The pioneering architect Le
Corbusier spent the 1950's bringing concrete to Chandigah' 'the city
beautiful now celebrates its creator'.(Independant, 2nd November 2011)
I am sorry to know that the great architect's work is not being
properly cared for. Some of the building's manhole covers appear at US
auction houses,
each piece selling at about $12,000.[In my Guwahati home also all the
manhole covers were stolen one night. It was of course not as valuable
as those of Chandigarh]
He adds that the food at the local Punjabi restaurant was good.Now,
