Dear Netters
I heard many of Bhupen Hazarika's songs straight from the maestro's
mouth on many occasions like the countless others in the world. I know
his voice will never be dead.
When I was a Chief Reporter/Editor of Debates in the Assam Assembly
Secretariat, he was an MLA for five years.By then he was already famous.
Whenever he spoke, members listened to him intently.I think it was not
easy for him to lead two busy lives at the same time:as a top artist and
a politician;demanding jobs both were. But it is said that a busy man
only has time to do anything.
I wonder how best we can honour our national hero!
