The World Migration Report 2011

Allow me to submit my tad bit of opinion on two of these topics a. Super Stores b. The World Report on migration.

I am a regular ASDA (Wal-Mart) customer. I do patronise other well-known Superstores like Tesco, Carrefour, Ikea etc. These organisations are so powerful that they will go ahead with their expansion. All that you can do is delay. Now, there are MacDonalds' restaurants everywhere - they have no problem in finding the prime spots in the cities for their business.

Immigration: The World Migration Report 2011 warns misinformation about migration fans "harmful stereotypes, discrimination and xenophobia" The report gives some statistics to point out that a lot of the figures quoted by countries are inaccurate.

The migration that takes place from China, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Philippines heading for the Middle East and the Gulf States is that of temporary labour. Rigid national legislation keeps them out from civic life, but their culture is respected..
