Dear Friends:

India Ink has two editions of Newswallah:Bharat and Bollywood.

The Bharat edition, rather unusually, reports news from Arunachal
Pradesh, Assam, Manipur and Nagaland besides news from the rest of
India. .

Bollywood Edition: The newspaper I read five days a week in the morning
is a free paper called Metro. It regularly reports news of Bollywood,
which I avoid studiously. The reason is my poor Hindi. So I do not watch
Hindi films and do not know much about the Hindi film actors and
actresses (I know in modern literary use 'actor' also means actresses.
Old habits, you see!).

The Americans have made me open my eyes to Bollywood. But it is a
misnomer. Here it interviews Director Luc Besson and actress Michele
Yeoh who were present at the recent International Film Festival held in
Goa.They were interviewd about the much hyped film The Lady, which
Besson directed and in which Michele transposed an Oxford housewife
into an iconic political figure:Aung Suu Kyi.

The other film discussed about is Love And All That, a sixties'
musical, by Director Rohan Sippy.
