Dear Friends

Can we read our newspapers in the internet comfortably? Say, the Assam Tribune?
I read it, rather skip it. It is simply not legible. Or readable.

What about the Eastern Chronicle? More or less the same, I find

The Assamese language newspapers, say the Pratidin, it is not easy to read either. Actually a few of the Assamese newspapers are internet dead, if not a patient still.

When the Seven Sisters Post was launched, I welcomed it as the best daily of the North-East. The formats at the beginning were comfortable but now it is horrible. I sent an email to the learned editor, I tell you: he is a good journalist but it is no good if I cannot read his despatches (Unlike his fellows, he is a roving one, it appears).

For example, today (17 12 2011) I for the first time heard the name of Luithui Luingam, a Naga political activist. Subir informs us that Luithui is to get a new passport after ten years. I used to take interest in affairs Nagalim. So, naturally I was interested in the news. With great difficulty, I had to discover his name, correctly spelt that is, to unearth more information about him in Google. No, he has not become famous. I need not have bothered.

I am just contemplating how to organise an Occupy protest against the media Mughals.
