TORONTO, Ontario, Canada 2/1/12 (PennWell) -- The Canadian Dam Association has
developed a new two-day workshop designed to minimize dam risk to the general
public. The workshop, titled "Dams and Public Safety," is based on CDA
Guidelines for Public Safety Around Dams. CDA says the goal of the workshop is
to provide practical information by using "realistic case studies and tools
that can immediately be applied for assessment of public safety risks". All
instructors are trained in CDA methodology and materials, and classes will be
limited in size to encourage participation. The first of five planned workshops
will take place March 5-6 in Toronto. For more information or to register,
visit the CDA's workshop page.
