Wishing you all warm Bihu greetings! I am also writing this mail to you with a plea. If you think it is right, please raise your voice to protest the unfair, arbitrary and unjust decision made by the National Jury of India that gave the verdict that Ekhon Nedekha Nodir Xhipare is NOT an Assamese film. Hence it disqualified the film from the competition and did not judge it. 10 non Assamese members of the Jury decided that it is not an Assamese film even though the Censor Board certificate it as one. Therefore, it is important that the voice of protest is heard and the film is judged again on its merit! Our friends Wahid Saleh and Satyajit Nath have initiated a petition requesting Honourable Ms. Ambika Soni, the Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India to have the film judged again and revoke the unfair decision.
