Farmers thrash paddy with cows in Panikhaiti village on the outskirts
of Guwahati, Assam. According to local media reports the Brahmaputra
River and its tributaries are rising at an alarming rate due to a heavy
monsoon and destroying a large quantity of the rabi or secondary crop
in the state
