Aruni Kashyap is a writer and translator. His first novel, The House With a
Thousand Novels, will be published by Penguin Books India. His translation
of Indira Goswami’s latest novel, The Bronze Sword of Thengphakhri Revenue
Collector, is forthcoming from Zubaan Books. His writing has appeared in
The Guardian, The Oxford Anthology of Writings from North-East India Volume
II, Himal Southasian, Tehelka Magazine, Karthika Review : an Asia Pacific
Islander Literary Journal and others.

He has recently spoken at City University of New York, on May 19 about his
journey as a writer from India's northeast - a region that rarely finds
representation in India's literary, cultural and political discourse.
