One of Assam's most prominent historians and passionate, articulate
thinkers, Dr. Nirode Barooah, will be visiting India and has accepted my
invitation to give a talk on Jan 21, 2013 at the India International
Centre. his perceptions and analysis of Jawaharlal Nehru's policies esp in
relation to Assam and its continuing impacts on the region. This is a
subject he has researched for decades and is superbly qualified to speak
on. Author, scholar and researcher, Dr. Barooah's presentation promises to
