Dear Wahid Saheb

As I understand, keyboard skill is essential to type at an acceptable level in
any modern office. This skill is acquired after practising at the keyboard by
using the fingers of the two hands.I have seen similar advertisements
elsewhere. Besides the desktop and the ubiquitous laptop, there is the
electronic typewriter with memory and other facilities akin to those of an word
processor. I have a feeling that one can learn touch-typing at the desktop
keyboard as well, but I do not know whether it is being practised. I am not
familiar with modern office practices any more.

With regards

bhuban

"At a time when even desktop computers are being inched out by laptops and
tablets, railways tests candidates' typing skills, required to secure a job
as junior accountant and senior clerk, on typewriters. And the candidates
have to bring their typewriters".

India is a developed country? A very long way to go!
