Palimpsest: India and Europe

This film tries to explore how India's diverse and colourful culture is
gently and quietly getting visible in countries that are not bound by common
language, old historical or colonial ties, trying to find an answer to this
question: Why is Indian culture becoming popular in Europe?

the area of quantum physics through the work of great scientists such as Max

No Problem!

Women from across six countries come together to train as Solar Engineers
and travel to India to be a part of the Barefoot College in Tilonia,
Rajasthan - a pioneer in solar electrification in remote rural villages
since 1989. Bound by similar circumstances of poverty at home and fighting
all adversities, these women break all barriers to train as Barefoot Solar
Engineers. Along with acquiring the necessary skills, their close
interaction with the people of Tilonia helps build confidence and a new
identity as part of the global community of Barefoot Solar Engineers who
have brought solar electricity to over 450,000 rural people in 49 countries.
This is an abridged version of 28 minutes.

Bunjer Roy the man who started the Barefoort movement! A TedX presentation
from 2011 viewed more than 3 million times. It is a very inspiring video
that shows how with determination and dedication, a single individual has
been able to transform the quality of life of thousands of villagers in many
parts of the world. In November 2011 I sent a mail to different persons
active in and around Majuli with a few links to projects implemented in
Assam. I was hoping that some one will pick it up. But there was no
interest!
