JINA RAJKUMARI was born and brought up at Lakowa Sivasagar, Assam. After her
HSLC, she joined Guwahati Polytechnic and B.Baruah College for her further
studies. She has completed her graduation from Gorgaon College, Sivasagar.
Later she worked as a customer care Executive at Johnson & Johnson Ltd.,
Mumbai. After that she joined a multinational Pharma company viz. Medtronic
India Ltd. till march 2014. She got married on March11, 2005 with Dibyajyoti
Goswami of Kaliabor, Assam.
Jina Rajkumari Goswami is a recipient of "GURU AWARD" from Eastern zonal
Culture Centre, Kolkata, Govt. of India. She also received the Honour of
"BISHESH PARODORSHI AWARD" (Award of Excellence). from Tai Ahom Development
Council, Goct.of Assam.Mrs. Rajkumari received the Junior Fellowship from the
Ministry of Culture, Govt.of India for her research work onSpring Dances of
Assam. She is an empanelled Fok Singer & Dancer of Indian Council for cultural
relation, Department of External Affairs, Govt. of India. Mrs. Rajkumari is
also a regular B-High graded artist of All India Radio & Doordarshan, Guwahati,
Assam. She has also performed all throughout India and abroadJina Rajkumari
acclaimed as a leading exponent of Folk Song and Dance Tradition of Assam.
IT HAS BEEN JINA'S UNTIRING ENDEAVOUR TO ASSOCIATE HERSELF WITH THE DEVELOPMENT
OF THE TRIBAL ART FORM IN TO A FULL FLEDGED PERFORMING ART SUITED TO THE MODERN
STAGES. SHE TAKES GREAT INTEREST IN ORGANISING WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS ON FOLK
DANCES & MUSIC, GIVING DEMONSTRATIONS.
