AssamAdda is the Networking platform for all the people from Assam, and the friends of Assam. People who are in Assam and the people who are outside Assam, and those who connect their roots to the region are by default are the members of AssamAdda. You just need to register to get your unique user id. In this age of globalization, we have many people from Assam who are scattered across the globe, and are rarely connected to each other. There are various social media websites that offer an opportunity to connect with long lost friends, but it is not easy to find and join each and every group/forum/website to find out where my friends from Assam are. AssamAdda is the single platform where we can expect all the people are from Assam, or friends of Assam. Here we can share our views, news, and opinions. Many people from the region are achievers in their own fields, but most of them are not known to many others. Various Assam Societies/Assam Associations/ North East Societies/North East Associations are organizing various festivals, competitions, and other constructive events at their respective locations across the globe, but many others are unaware of many of these activities. Our aim at AssamAdda is to create a platform for all the people from Assam without prejudice. If someone from Assam travels to a foreign country, viz., Austria, and if he/she knows that there is someone from the region in that country, they may like to share a cup of tea and have a small Adda. This forum can also help people sharing and gaining information about education, and other upcoming area across the globe. Many of us have been parts of some Adda during our College/University/Hostel days. The way there is no set topic for discussion in an Adda, similarly, there is no set topic in AssamAdda. People can discuss anything under the sun as long as there is no obscene/vulgar/defamatory/insulting topic/picture/item. In such case, those topics/pictures/items will be removed at the earliest, and the rights of membership may be curtailed. The language in AssamAdda will be our own languages, but we will use the alphabet easily available across the globe – the English Keyboard. We do not intend to make any regional alphabet mandatory here because there are many who live outside Assam, and their children are born and raised outside Assam. Although the parents may know how to read/write a vernacular languages, and their children may know how to speak the language, yet they may be more comfortable with the English alphabet. Using the English Keyboard will enable all these people to participate in the discussion of the forum. This will also help the children in the region network with the children of their community outside. If anyone is interested to post using a vernacular keyboard, they can do so, but they may have a limited number of audience.
